Full time Audio Visual Technician:- AV Tech - Set up various audio, video, lighting and other event technology equipment for events and conferences such as: microphones, speakers, mixers, video switchers, computers, slide advancers, video screens, video projectors, pipe and drape etc.- Operator – Operate the equipment (Audio, Video, Lighting) for a variety of events and conferences.- Customer Service – Face to face customer service is a daily task, checking in with clients to make sure the event has been set up/ will be operated in the desired way is a must, discussing and making changes where/when needed to always exceed the expectations of the client.

- Scheduling and coordinating with staff for all AV and DJ set ups/ events- Planning/ organizing/ packing/ loading/ delivering equipment- Sales – Sales was not one of my official roles per say, however It was something that I did many times while attending pre-event meetings prospecting clients face-to-face, 'up selling' was an art that I got pretty good at.- Set up AV equipment for conferences/ events- Warehousing - I managed, organized, cleaned & repaired the companies equipment- Organize equipment floor plans and wiring diagrams- Print out and organize worksheets/ and invoices for all events- Coordinate with clients on-site to work out any last-minute details. (lighting colors, video cues, last minute PPT changes etc.)- Managing – as the lead technician, on-site I was the 'go to' person who gave the crew direction for equipment placement, timelines, AV checks etc.- Hiring – I created & posted adds when we were looking to hire, I also served as the 1st level interviewer (essentially people had to have my stamp of approval before a 2nd interview would happen with the owner)- AV Technician – Via PM Event Services I worked as an AV tech typically as the lead audio tech however also involved with video switching/ projection as well as Lighting, over the years via PM Events I’ve had the privilege of working for many different AV companies such as; SDL International, Pro Staging, Metal Works, Ruoff, PSAV & others. I did many shifts for PSAV at the Hilton Bonaventure in Montreal & the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, at times on a regular basis. Via those sub-contracts I have served many large events with high-profile clients, including support for Live TV broadcasts. My favorite was running audio for live bands! I had worked with 100s over the years. I’ve set up & operated 100’s AV conferences both solo and on large teams. I’ve also set up/ operated many Simultaneous Interpretation events.
