Working at Titmouse marks the beginning of my full-time foray into the film and television sector of the animation industry. As a compositor I have worked on multiple televised cartoons geared towards varying age-ranges. Work entails creating visual compositions through layouts of select animations within their respective background designs, and applying color, lighting and special FX treatments. Clients include Netflix, Apple TV and Paramount Plus.Compositing work has proven to be a rewarding experience as it allows me to sharpen my skills in finalizing the visual esthetics of scenes within a show. Furthermore, working in collaboration with animators and designers inspires me to continue refining my practice in other stages of animation production, in turn making me a more well-rounded artist.

I initially joined Mukrah Ventures as they began production on a slot game for a newly acquired client, and went on to design and produce the entire range of graphics and animations for their game. Design work included UI layouts, symbols, logos, and bonus features. This work was a rewarding experience in that it provided me with an opportunity to test my abilities as a sole artist designing and producing an entire set of game visuals in a short amount of time.

Under the umbrella of filmmaker Joseph Klymkiw's studio Joi Productions, I created motion graphic ads for clients Nimbyx and Hub International, to be displayed on stadium ribbon boards.

In collaboration with another artist, I worked remotely for Calm Creek as an artist and animator. My work consisted of providing concept designs and final artwork for their video slot game The Big Score, a heist-themed three-part game series. Design work included logo, symbols, bonus feature, and UI components. My responsibilities also included being the sole animator of symbol sequences within the game.The project went smoothly as I worked with an artist whom I had previously collaborated with, and we completed the game artwork in a creatively cohesive and timely manner, reminding me of the value in building healthy working relationships with fellow artist and coworkers.

By 2010 Rocket Gaming had relocated its home office to Las Vegas, and I was promoted to lead artist. While I had already previously led the creative and artistic design of previous game titles, this official promotion now saw me leading a team of two additional artists, while coordinating with a designated technical artist and sound designer.As I continued to direct the design and production of all art and animation assets for game titles in development, I also led both my art team and the second Vancouver art team in one of the first ever joint game design art and production at Rocket Gaming.

In 2006 I was promoted to lead animator and began directing all animation work produced within the art department, both in Vancouver and the newly formed Las Vegas office. Furthermore, my role within the company began expanding to have me regularly provide voice work for various game titles. As a result of my significant contributions, I was named Rocket Gaming‘s 2007 Employee of the Year.

Before changing their name to Aries Technology, Rocket Gaming Systems is where I first cut my teeth on the gaming industry. I jumped into the work force directly out of art school, joining the BC branch of the then-Oklahoma based game house as an artist and animator producing artwork and animations for their class II slot games. Within my first year I led the conception and design of one of their most acclaimed slot titles, and continued to contribute my art and animation work to the majority of their most successful titles over the next several years.

Desiring creative projects that broke away from the gaming industry, I collaborated with filmmaker Joseph Klymkiw to design motion graphics for select film and video works being produced at his studio Joi Productions. As part of the collaboration, I designed and animated the opening and closing title sequences for Hip Hop Eh, a documentary on Canadian hip-hop, in collaboration with designer Ryan Smith.
