- Monitor key operational standards, both clinical and corporate, to ensure that the quality of care delivered at the site meets regulatory, statutory and other recognised standards.- Responsible for the delivery of safe clinical governance and feed in to the group clinical governance framework, ensuring my team and I submit the sites data for the quarterly clinical governance meetings.- Complete mandatory prospective and retrospective audits to ensure that all standards are met and where variances are detected, ensure that remedial action plans are put in place to deliver swift corrective remedies.- Lead on incidents, safeguarding alerts and referrals and complaints through the use of appropriate databases (INPHASE) to ensure my team investigate and learn from unexpected events, errors, omissions and suboptimal care episodes.- Work with the contract team to ensure accurate reporting to commissioners to include feedback on actions and lessons learnt- To work with contract department to ensure that CQUIN requirements are implemented, met and accurately reported to commissioners- Ensure that duty of candour requirements are met and reported accurately- To ensure that the annual service user, staff and other professionals surveys are completed and reported to the board. To maintain records of all feedback including compliments, concerns and complaints and ensure reported annually- Responsible for infection control, data security, Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and safeguarding, ensuring leads/champions are in place for each. You will produce the location statutory annual infection control statement- Responsible for the delivery of high quality healthcare in an appropriate safe environment. Adheres to the business continuity plan to ensure wherever possible healthcare can be delivered safely and efficiently.- Support development, review and adherence to all policies and procedures and contribute to their maintenance with my team

- Providing onsite face to face training for healthcare technicians and nurses at sites nationwide- assisting managers and area managers identify clinical training needs with the hospitals and helping to find solutions to them.- giving feedback to team members on their skills and abilities and how to adapt to various situations they may come across- coaching both in person and remotely and providing team members a point of contact for any of their concerns or quarries with the tasks they are asked to perform - Helping to create action plans for team members along side their site managers to ensure that they can reach their full potential - Completing reviews and appraisals with team members - Completing clinical sign offs for team members and resigning existing team members on their sign offs when needed- Assisting Site Managers with interviews for new staff members and giving an explanation of the clinical side of the job to potential candidates

- Training and developing team members to reach their full potential- dealing with customer and patient concerns and finding a resolution that works for them- Profit and loss accountability including salary planning and prediction, sales projections and property maintenance costs.- Heath and safety for the site ensuring that all training was complete, reports in date and accurate and daily check lists completed - Dispensing optical products to patients

- Leading the multiskilled team in providing services to the patients that have eye care needs- Providing one to one training and support to optical consultants and optometrists to enhance their skills and development them- Responsible for the health and safety on site including daily reports, monthly audits and maintenance requisitions.- Ensuring that stock control is maintained though regular checks and stock takes.- Full store security responsibility making sure that there are key holders available 24/7 for the site.- First point of contact for all HR requests and the final say on all team requests for annual leave, changes to contracts and other HR related issues

Project Angel- Leading a zero hour team of students to cover optical assistant gaps across the region during peak holiday times.- Planning and implementing a two day training programme from scratch to develop the students to a level where they will have the skills to be able to assist in stores.- Maintaining a regional rota to ensue that all gaps across the region were cover- Maintaining HR services to the team so that they could access all benefits available from the company.
