I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Technology in the department of General Studies from the University of South Florida in the Fall semester, Dec of 2020. My studies primarily involved programming languages, data structures, and algorithms. Coursework involved learning the foundations of programming and software languages, and progressively got more challenging as studies continued. I am actively pursuing work and starting in an entry level IT or Computer Science-related programming/data/software position to get my career started.I currently work in the insurance industry and have been since early 2019. I am employed with Geico. My line of work involves providing assistance to active policyholders with acquisition of new auto insurance policies and primarily service existing policies.Before Geico, I proudly served military members and their families as a licensed insurance specialist for USAA. The work involved assisting members with servicing, deepening, and acquisition of new and existing policies and products to meet their needs and preserve their financial security.Most of my work experience has been in customer service in some way. Prior to USAA, I worked as a product specialist and digital product specialist at a car dealership for 2 years. And before that working for 3 years in retail services as both an associate and in leadership roles. My hope is to eventually start my journey as a software engineer and build my career in that field!
