I've always been described as an entusiastic, positive, and passionate person, and it's this passion that leads me to the fields of forestry and entomology. My skills in identification and attention to detail comes from a love of all things living - my favorite book as a child was the Peterson Fieldguide on Edible Wild Plants, and I'd spend hours in the pond behind my house catching tadpoles and frogs. Growing up, these traits culminated in a love of the outdooors and a desire to learn, which I bring to every course and job I participate in. I believe every job is an opportunity to learn more and improve myself, and I won't stop learning until there is nothing left to learn. Outside of work, I love to hike, hit the gym, photograph insects and sew. Whatever I'm doing, I'm always trying to learn and improve.
