Anthony was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida. At the age of 15, he started taking flying lessons in a Cessna 172M at the Tampa Executive Airport. Too young to solo or even be licensed, he spent two years mastering his technique and enjoying the beautiful blue skies of central Florida. At the age of 17, on February 14, 2009, Anthony’s dream to be a licensed pilot became a reality and his passion for aviation took off. The joke around the airport was that Anthony was the nation’s youngest licensed pilot, at least for a few minutes. Recently, Anthony has been working on his rotorcraft rating. Graduating early in December 2011, Anthony earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. In May 2015, Anthony graduated from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport and is now a member in good standing with the Florida Bar. Anthony is a member of the Lawyer Pilot Bar Association. Anthony attended law school so that he could be an advocate for those in need of justice. However, his desire has always been to give special attention to the field of aviation law and to lobby for awareness and promotion of aviation in our communities. In preparation for doing so, Anthony took the necessary classes in law school to better understand how to advocate for the pilot, mechanic, and airport alike. In addition, in 2013, he conducted an independent research project, where he analyzed and discussed the usefulness of integrating spaceports into our communities. Anthony also had the opportunity in law school to work as a clerk in the aviation law industry. Beyond the academic, Anthony and his wife, Emily, recently welcomed their first son, Atticus, to the family and continue to reside in Lakeland, Florida. Both Anthony and Emily enjoy being active in their church and spending time with family.
