Profile bio

About Anthony J. Macasio

I am a CompTIA Security+ certified cybersecurity professional with a deep-seated passion for the field. My journey began with a rigorous six-month boot camp at The University of Kansas, where I gained hands-on experience with a range of industry tools and techniques, solidifying my commitment to this career path. During the boot camp, I worked with real-world scenarios using tools such as Splunk, Metasploit, Microsoft Azure, Linux and Windows Administration, as well as scripting with Bash and PowerShell. I also gained practical experience with Zenmap, nmap, and cryptography.Since graduating from the University of Kansas Cybersecurity Bootcamp in March 2023 and achieving my CompTIA Security+ certification in June 2023, I embarked on my career as a Vulnerability Intelligence Analyst at Proficio. Due to the current state of the industry I've had to pivot and found myself in a critical facilities role at T5 Data Centers. I still try to stay informed on current cybersecurity threats, but am also excited to learn a new role within a different and more secure vertical.
