Anthony May joined Brown, Goldstein & Levy in September 2017.Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Anthony was the Francis D. Murnaghan Appellate Advocacy Fellow at The Public Justice Center, where he represented indigent clients, authored amicus briefs, and argued in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and Maryland appellate courts on various anti-poverty and civil rights cases.Prior to that, Anthony clerked for the Honorable Deborah Sweet Eyler on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.During law school, Anthony worked as a law clerk at Brown, Goldstein & Levy, where he assisted in drafting appellate briefs in a variety of cases including overturning criminal convictions based on illegal advisory jury instructions; assisted in reviewing discovery in complex white collar criminal defense matters; reviewed documents, served discovery responses, and assisted in trials in all matters of family law including divorce and child custody disputes.While attending law school, Anthony was the Executive Symposium Editor of the Journal of Race, Religion, Gender & Class, a semi-finalist in the ABA Labor & Employment Law Trial Competition, and a Legal Writing Fellow.

Represent indigent clients, author amicus briefs, and participate in oral arguments in federal and Maryland appellate courts on various anti-poverty and civil rights issues.
