As a product design engineer, I designed electrical heaters for semiconductor chip fabrication. Below were some of my responsibilities:Design for Manufacturing - Utilized SolidWorks to create models of our product and drafted manufacturing and specification drawings for our onsite production teams, providing quality designs for increased production outputUniformity Testing - Developed and ran tests to analyze the resultant temperatures at the critical points of our thermal systems - Determined the power necessary to meet customer specifications such as temperature uniformity and steady state ramp-up time, allowing me to fine tune my designsFunctional Testing - Acted as engineering support in the implementation and continued operation of an onsite functional tester for more efficient quality checks- Ensured the quality of our product at a high-volume demand from the customer

As a Fluidic Systems Engineering Intern, I assisted in the development of the assembly method for the company's product: a photosynthetic air panel composed from a multilayered array of microfluidic chips. - Provided an assembly technique that is still used in the product's current systemWhen tasked with finding a method of assembly, I researched adhesive selection, corona treatment methods, and thermal bonding for the membrane-chip interface. My work resulted in a membrane-chip-adhesive interface that ensured a strong, leak free bond to prevent pressure rupture. - Prevented catastrophic system leakage -- higher oxygen output meeting investor specificationsI also developed and managed quotes for permeable membranes, adhesives, and cell culturing products.• Organized incoming product and kept records for informational turnover

- Ensured that parking for campus affiliates and guests was logged and orderly via Microsoft Office/Google software — i.e. Excel, Google Sheets, Google Docs- Provided guests, visitors, students, staff, and faculty directions for campus - Handled parking permit purchases- Tactfully dealt with a variety of people- Provided excellent customer service to callers

Working out of the Robotic Systems Lab's Sat Ops Ground Station, I executed satellite command operations resulting in the successful monitoring of E.coli within the payload of NASA's EcAMSat Mission, an experiment for researching bacteria to improve medicine for deployed astronauts. By programming procedures utilizing MATLAB, Java, and SQL to send and receive data between the Ground Station and NASA's satellite, I provided payload state-of-health info for the experiment. I also wrote technical mission reports detailing satellite passes to the EcAMSat Mission's project managers at the NASA Ames Research Center.Some of my other responsibilities included training other satellite operators in Standard Operating Procedures.I also aided in maintaining the wiring and the system software/hardware for satellite tracking and telemetry down link.
