Achieving full automation on a previously heavily 'user-interactive' system. The company were developer heavy with little DBA experience and consequently systems were designed and implemented but not administered/housekept resulting in poor performance at customer sites.Duties and achievements* Provide database support to 20+ customers around the UK. * Provide new solutions to new and existing customers. Testing, Roll-Out and Integration with existing systems * Implement a new development environment for the developers where all customer systems were replicated - providing improved and more timely development.* Performance tuning of existing systems - in some cases improving throughput by 400%.* Designed and implemented Datatrue's first UNIX interconnect/wholesale rating and billing system solution for Carrier1 UK.
