Moreton Bay Radiology, a privately-owned practice of Sunshine Coast Radiology Group, specialises in Digital Radiography, MRI, Multi-slice CT, Ultrasound and Mammography.As a Radiographer, my responsibilities included:- Responsibility for General Radiography (Philips DR), Dental Imaging, Bone Mineral Densitometry and CT (Philips 64 slice) working autonomously and unsupervised;- Provide a high standard of care and service to our patients and radiologists by displaying accurate, friendly, responsive, courteous and effective communication;- Perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in compliance with protocols within nominated timeframes;- Assist radiologists with interventional procedures and advanced image processing techniques; - Advise and consult on the prioritising of booking patient procedures in line with clinical indications;- Ensure Workplace Health and Safety practices are understood and observed at all times in the workplace;- Lead, coordinate and supervise the training of NPDP radiographers in the performance and delivery of diagnostic imaging. - Evaluate and advise on clinical practices, processes, procedures and equipment to focus towards continuous improvement.

Rockhampton Regional Radiology, a privately-owned practice of the Sunshine Coast Radiology Group, specialises in Digital Radiography, MRI, Multi-slice CT, Ultrasound, Echocardiography and Mammography.As an NPDP Radiographer, my responsibilities included:- Sole responsibility for General Radiography (Philips CR + AGFA DR retrofit), working autonomously and unsupervised;- Cross-functionality on CT (GE Optima) and MRI (GE Optima);- Provide a high standard of care and service to our patients and radiologists by displaying accurate, friendly, responsive, courteous and effective communication;- Perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in compliance with protocols within nominated timeframes;- Ensure Workplace Health and Safety practices are understood and observed at all times in the workplace;- Provide training and ongoing coaching to university students on clinical placements;- Undertake a placement at Rockhampton Base Hospital to receive training for operating an image intensifier, fluoroscopy unit and mobile x-ray machine.
