A sustainable built environment is my passion and my mission. I have been involved in this field for over 10 years, as a researcher, a developer, a data scientist, and now as an educator. I hold a PhD in Human Geography from The University of Queensland, where I also completed my Bachelor's degree with honors in Sociology.Currently, I am an Urban and Regional Planning Lecturer at the University of Southern Queensland, where I teach and mentor the next generation of planners. I also conduct cutting-edge research on urban and regional development, using big data, data science, and spatial modelling techniques to address complex urban challenges and develop an evidence base for effective land use and transport policy. I have published multiple articles in top-tier academic journals, led successful research grants, and presented my research at international conferences. I have also collaborated with industry and government partners, such as the Australian Bureau of Statistics and the Australian Transport Research Cloud, to develop and apply innovative data products and tools for planning policy and practice. By bridging the gap between academia and industry, I aim to support positive and sustainable change in urban and regional development.
