I have spent much of my life in management and academia. I was the store manager at both Claire's and Pizza Hut, and I am the co-owner of an HVAC company where I am also the licensed qualifying contractor. My time in academia has been in many forms of mathematics and computer science. I have studied computer programming with a multitude of languages and have performed data analysis with clinical data and data fitting through linear and non-linear modelling. I have a wide background in both theoretical and applied mathematics including analysis, linear algebra, statistics, and modeling. I have also taught two years worth of calculus during my time at Virginia Tech and Middle Tennessee State University I earned my master's at Middle Tennessee State University. Here, I met the mentors who shaped me, Dr. Rachel Leander, Dr. Wandi Ding, and Dr. Zachariah Sinkala. Here, many of faculty and staff helped develop me professionally and personally. I also spent valuable time as a PhD Candidate at Virginia Tech but I did not finish there. I met many great professors and colleagues but ultimately a PhD was not for me. Currently I work as a BI Analyst for Elephant Insurance. Within my tenure here, I've come to enjoy the company and the people I work with. I've grown my skills in data analytics and developed stronger SQL abilities and have been developing my talents with Power BI and other tools common to my field.
