Hi, I’m TJ Lambert! 👋🏽I work as a software engineer at Microsoft on tooling and SDK for the Xamarin-macios team. We maintain a platform that allows developers to create applications more easily and efficiently by extending Apple’s APIs for use in Visual Studio.On my team, I create C# Bindings to follow Apple’s Xcode releases. I also have the opportunity to work on localization for our tools to empower people from all over the world to use our platform.Working at Microsoft allows me to pursue interests outside of my main job responsibilities as well. Since global remote working can be isolating at times, I help lead a committee where we meet weekly to organize various morale events for 85+ team members from 15+ different countries. I lead a group where I help direct other early-in-career colleagues navigate their personal and career growth. I join various Employee Resource Groups such as Blacks at Microsoft, Women at Microsoft, and Asians at Microsoft where I go to workshops, listen to panels, and participate in book clubs. I love attending other diversity and inclusion workshops on topics such as micro-messaging. Lastly, I realized that one of my weaknesses used to be public speaking which is why I joined Early Bird Toastmasters right here in Microsoft where I learn phenomenal public speaking and leadership skills.I looking forward to connecting with new people and would love to learn about software engineering opportunities that combat poverty, extend accessibility, or provide new opportunities for marginalized individuals!
