I lead a team of software engineers in the Health Data Platform unit of Oracle Health & AI.I am responsible for our product's design, performance, operational integrity, security, and architectural consistency.I work with product management and other stakeholders to understand disparate functional requirements and I design software systems to meet them.I break down large projects into iteration-scoped tasks and delegate development of these to engineers on my team.I am principally responsible for estimation, planning, and orchestration of the various individual development tasks to ensure we meet our team goals.To maintain architectural cohesion and functional compatibility with consumers, I coordinate with other technical leaders in the organization to achieve consensus on overall system design direction and ensure our product's design meets functional and operational requirements.I also interface directly with our counterparts from our federal client to coordinate investigation and remediation of operational problems, coordinating maintenance, and to achieve consensus on operational design for the data upload (e.g. setting performance parameters, negotiating SLOs, and prioritizing operational improvements for maximum client value).

I worked as a research assistant under Roy Campbell at UIUC revising and polishing the Digital Forensics curriculum package for distribution to other universities and colleges.

I was a Undergraduate Research Assistant under Dr. Simon Ou in the Computer Science department at Kansas State University.I Redesigned and optimized the data preprocessing modules of the SnIPS Intrusion Alert Reasoning Engine (http://www.arguslab.org/snips.html). My optimizations increased the performance of the preprocessing functions over 100 times. My redesign of these modules allows for extension of the reasoning system with outputs from scripts or modules written in any language.

I was a Student Programmer working under Dr. Dan Andresen in the Computer Science Department at Kansas State University.I implemented a system in Python and MongoDB to facilitate rapid data replication between High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters at several universities for the Cybercommons project.

Using a combination of object oriented design, scripting techniques, and database queries, I automated the construction of complex reports based on application state information and raw and aggregate database information.

I worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant under Dr. Robert Szoszkiewicz at the Physics Department at Kansas State University.I conducted experiments for two projects:1.
