Hello everyone, I'm Anthony Langston the new CWI/Welding Support Specialist for Bauer Compressors. For those of you who don't know what that is, CERTIFIED WELD INPECTOR.INSTRUCTOR. My responsibilities Consist of inspecting the welds being done on all of our products. I was previously the 2nd shift fabrication supervisor from 2017 until this past July. Prior to coming here I was the fabrication Supervisor for Sumitomo Drive Technologies from 2007-2015. I got my start at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock company back in 1986 where I went through there welding school and got my welding certification and inspector level 1 certifications, also attend the apprentice school where went through the crane and rigging school. I am currently taking the AWS CWI exam to get my official CWI certs. I'm grandfathered in to do in house inspections now by AWS standards. Along with my extensive welding and rigging background, in 2019 I went through the OSHA 10 and 30 and various training programs to get certified and became the companies OSHA SUPERVISOR appointed by the Safetyman. I look forward to this new opportunity to further my career and help the company with its quality and the quality of our vendors products. When I'm not at work I spend my free time Taking my Custom Honda accord, that I customized using my fabrication and welding skills, to car shows up and down the east coast. I also take pictures at theses shows and private shoots of custom vehicles for ECS magazine.
