• Designed and integrated electronics and packaging for a small autonomous helicopter; these systems included inertial sensors, embedded processors, attitude control systems, communication links, differential GPS, actuators, jitter-stabilized video cameras with broadcast-quality video imagery, power generation and batteries, vehicle and system sensors, and a portable ground station. • Lead the development of Lunar/Mars and mine clearing micro-rovers. The Lunar/Mars micro-rover is in the IMAX film “Destiny in Space.” These systems include rotating high power laser range finders, celestial sun sensors, inertial sensors, solar panels, embedded processors, and other system sensors.• Developed concepts and proposed a technology spin-off incubator for technologies developed at the laboratory.• Identified key markets and strategic technologies for autonomous rotorcraft.• Chairman of the Total Quality Management team during the introduction of ISO9001.• Co-founded the Unmanned Vehicle Laboratory.• Worked Trident Simulation Based Test and Evaluation Capability (SiBaTEC) and supported various Demonstration and Shakedown Operation (DASO) testing.• Started as a senior technician, transitioned to student staff, and then to member of the technical staff.
