I worked in the Neurosciences and Mental Health department where I developed curriculum for an all-new adult literacy program being launched in conjunction with the the University of Memphis and Georgia State. The program includes both traditional in-class instruction and a computer based, digital component.

My primary task involved assisting owners with their move to a larger location. This move meant a complete rebranding initiative which I was pleased to orchestrate. I worked closely with upper management during this process. After the launch, I continued to work with the company to ensure that we maintained the high industry standard we had initially set.

I educated mature students in essay writing, argument development and grammar. I Tutored students in continuing education, independent learning and ESL. To accommodate varied comprehension levels I developed and implemented individualized strategies that best suited learning styles.

I develop and delivered a mandatory 1st year Business Writing program with an emphasis on cognitive linguistics to an audience of nearly 60 students. The process included thorough lesson planning, exam writing, and project design.

I assisted professors with marking assignments, class essays and tests while meeting strict deadlines and following department policies. Courses included a variety of literary fields, such as Medieval literature, Early Modern theatre and children’s literature. I Considered year level and assignment difficulty to provide fair marks and comments. I met with students to provide support and direction while completing assigned work and essay writing and study tutorials to further assist.
