Working directly with stakeholders internally and externally to understand their existing information needs and future information requirements. Translating the needs of non-technical stakeholders into useful analysis, and providing business insight and intelligence to improve the delivery of healthcare, meet corporate goals, submit data requirements, and provide insight for financial purposes, as well as senior guidance around clinical data and NHS national guidelines.The way in which this insight is presented to the stakeholders comes from regular development and deployment of BI reports, using tools such as; Tableau, Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Google Analytics, Crystal Reporting and the Microsoft Office Suite. To create the datasets and develop the tables which underpin the reporting and data requirements, I utilise T-SQL and develop Tables/Views/Stored Procedures to manipulate and automate data processes to a high standard, also providing an ETL solution where required using SSIS.

As the Senior Information Analyst for Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital I had two main roles;1. The development and analysis of NHS data sets using all available data sources, for use by the management and executive team to help aid in the daily hospital improvement projects, and contractual and performance purposes.2. The interrogation, warehousing and analysis of the trusts newly acquired Electronic Patient Record (EPR, AllScripts). To complete these roles I utilised tools such as SQL Server 2012/2014, Visual Studio 2014, SSIS, SSRS, Microsoft Office suite as well as many others.Analysis & Reporting- Requirement gathering, analysis, reporting and presenting of data to management and executives.- Provide meaningful and high quality data as the Clinical Services information partner.- Design and deploy SSRS reports for use on the Trusts reporting server.- Reporting to Unify2, CDS, NHSIC and more.- Creating schedules to automate SSRS reports to be delivered to desired users.- Analysis and reporting of patient activity for costing and planning.Data Management & Development- Developing data sets and warehousing the data from the EPR by utilising the stored procedures and jobs I have developed.- Development of stored procedures, views and tables to create data sets for national requirements and contractual agreements in the format of tables for the data warehouse or as other formats such as .csv for submissions.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst I worked with large NHS data sets; understanding, analysing and presenting complex data through SQL Server 2008. Using tools such as SQL Server BIDS, SQL Server 2008 and all off the Microsoft Office suite, I support all clinical functions including the Nursing Directorate and the Quality and Safety Division to deliver its objectives through provision of high quality, solution focused business intelligence, including collection tools, visualisation, reporting and advice.
