- Leads a team of Cyber Threat Analysts supporting an enterprise Security Operations Center (SOC) through “hunt” operations to develop internal intelligence to senior management. - Uses enterprise (network device, Windows, Linux, applications) log analysis to identify potential threats and investigate potential cyber events and incidents. - Foster collaboration between analysts and other groups within the IC/USG/DoD conducting Hunt operations.- Provide technical SME support to management and aid in overseeing current as well as future projects for the team. - Developed training materials and presented training to SOC analysts on infrastructure and malware analytic pivoting. - Aid in hiring contract support for the program. - Mentor junior analyst(s) in tracking APT groups through All-Source Intelligence.

- Led team of analysts performing all source intelligence analysis. Gathered cyber threat information, advised senior executives and middle management of CND, vulnerability management (VM) trends and threat actor TTPs. - Conceived, developed, and published written cyber threat intelligence technical products to include monthly periodicals, blog posts, white papers, Intelligence Community social media postings and time sensitive serialized reporting. The topics covered ranged from basic security training topics for senior executives, to technical analytical products concerning APT threat actors and potential mitigation designed for CND analysts. - Held, hosted and presented at quarterly conferences with fellow cyber threat analysts from the IC, Department of Defense and US Federal Government. - Presented at DoD and US Federal Government cyber threat analyst exchanges.- Responded to, provided analysis of and coordinated response actions for incident response of potentially malicious network activity.

Navy Cryptologic Technician (CTR). After a year of training, I spent three years protecting Sailors afloat and troops on the ground. My next three years were spent training, managing, mentoring, and leading from the front an entire center of analysts doing cyber threat discovery. I am not a fan of just "managing". Which meant I had to know way too much about a lot of things. Meaning: malware; C2 communication protocols; infrastructure; attacks; tracking threat actors (including APT); writing custom rules, scripts, signatures; analytic pivoting; statistical analysis; behavioral analysis; encryption; dabbling with big data analytics (before it was cool). All on top of the procurement, administrative document writing, manpower, planning, multiple service award/evaluation & disipline systems, inherit crazy (w/political in-fighting). Luckily, I am a work aholic and had amazing mentors. Including one of the guys who co-developed the theory upon which cyber analysis as we know it is performed.
