Led a team of 3 database developers and 2 Database Engineers on the project implementation of a 10 million dollar enterprise High Availability and Disaster Recovery solution for continuity of critical military systems. Devised, implemented and documenting backup/recovery strategies, distributed databases initiatives, and database security for very large Enterprise OLTP production SQL Servers. Successfully implemented a new 10 million dollar High Availability / Disaster recovery solution for all enterprise systems using Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Failover Clustering and SQL Server 2008 R2. Successfuly implemented an enterprise Disaster Recovery Solution for the BMC Remedy and other applications using Microsoft Failover Clustering and EMC SRDF between NOC and COOP locations. Capacity planning analysis and re-engineering done for all database disk subsystems, file group reconfiguration recommendation instituted for a 2 TB data warehouse project which lead to 60% improved performance in query response time. Responsible for successfully building 10 new dedicated production OLTP SQL Servers for various network applications, Hardware used HP Blade Servers, OS installed windows server 2008 R2. Bacardi & Martini one of the world’s largest alcohol and liquor brewery and distribution Companies, Bayview Financial a large Miami Financial Firm and Banking Clearinghouse, and Republic Services a very reputable sanitation company within many satellite locations across the United States . My duties included Database administration, Data Warehousing, and SharePoint Server administration, development, disaster recovery, high availability solutions, disaster recovery, and security implementations for all SQL Servers enterprise wide. The Business initiatives responsible for were; Data Warehouse performance tuning, performance monitoring of SQL Servers and Operating Systems resources, redesign of Data Warehouse architecture for performance reasons. Configured Reporting Services security levels for users accessing reports, also responsible for troubleshooting errors on the reporting server or reporting manager when subscriptions or manually generated reports fail to return data due to an internal error.

Implemented solutions to improve VLDB database performance and data integrity such as managing indexes, constraints, fine tuning SQL Functions, Triggers and complex stored procedures, DTS packages and SSIS Packages on SQL Server 2005. In depth performance tuning on stored procedures, functions, and triggers for very large transactional production databases using Sql Server Profiler, Dynamic Management View and Functions, and System Performance Monitor. Trouble-shooting of performance issues or Sql Server errors that occurred in the production environment and finding quick resolutions to the issues occurring.
