In this varied and challenging role as a senior logistician I fulfilled multiple responsibilities. Providing local procurement on overseas deployments, managing facilities in the Falkland Islands, creating bespoke training packages for junior soldiers to further their career development, and provided training and management support during Covid 19.Within this role, I have:Procurement & Budget management: Successfully provided local procurement of goods and services for two military deployments overseas whist managing budgets of up to £500K, procuring everything from food, water and fuel to transport and heavy plant equipment ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective operations which ended in a saving of approximately £150k per deployment.Accommodation Management: Managed multiple properties and accommodation blocks, this included inspection, key issuance, maintenance coordination, and providing broad support to military personnel and their families. Supervised an accommodation team, evaluating and reporting on their personnel performance, whilst also managing public capital, keeping high standards.Training Development: Designed comprehensive training programs that equipped personnel to deploy abroad for training exercises and excel in their roles as resource logisticians. As an experienced Supply Chain Manager, I assumed a role reserved for senior managers, leading a team of logisticians to support global end users.Key responsibilities:Supply Chain Manager: Manage the complete supply chain lifecycle from cradle to grave, where I orchestrated the seamless coordination from defence procurement to final delivery, guaranteeing prompt and accurate provisioning to meet organizational needs and operational requirement.Warehouse Management: Directing the operations of multiple warehouse and storage areas holding over six thousand different items and commodities (valued at approximately £140 million), including the receipt, organisation, maintenance and issue of the various commodities, as well as the disposal and replacement of outdated equipment and material. This also included the management of the organisations ammunition storage areas which had to be managed in strict adherence to MOD ammunition storage regulations. I was also the administrator of the organisations MIS MJDI and had responsibility for ensuring data brevity, issue management, and general problem solving.Instructor: Delivered training via workshops to ensure all ammunition was safely transported from the storage site to UK military training areas in compliance with UK Law.
