Responsibilities:- Designing, supervision, installation and maintenance works related to groundwater supply systems.- Carrying out performance evaluation in maintenance unit and monitoring progress of the departments action plan.- Supervision of all mechanical maintenance activities including Planned Preventive Maintenance and Corrective maintenance works in areas of Jinja, Lugazi, Kamuli, Bugiri, Iganga- Carrying out energy audits for all water and sewerage installations.- Carrying out training of plant attendants and operators on standard operating procedures and build capacity for maintenance.- Preparing monthly and quarterly departmental reports.

Responsibilities included:- Managing maintenance of power generators throughout the NWSC areas of operation in the country including routine service, corrective repairs, replacements and sizing for the different plants.- Supervision of all mechanical maintenance activities including Planned Preventive Maintenance and Corrective maintenance works in the West and Mid-west region of Uganda in the areas of Masindi, Mubende, Mityana, Hoima, Fort Portal, Kanungu, Rukungiri, Mbarara, Bushenyi, Kabale, Kisoro, Kamwenge, Rushere, Ntungamo, Ibanda, Ruhaama..- Planning Daily/ weekly work schedules and sanctioning jobs cards for all mechanical jobs with the aim of reducing Plant Downtime in all Areas.- Carrying out proper allocation of resources in execution of jobs in order to reduce on maintenance cost.- Stocking the regional workshops with the necessary tools and equipment needed to carry out maintenance.- Preparing Technical Specifications, evaluating bids and to ensure that quality equipment, tools and spares are delivered.- Designing of new water pumping systems.- Installing and replacing static plant assets or systems to improve on the water and sewerage services delivery to the customers in NWSC areas.- Managing the maintenance information system (CMMS) and inventories of all Static Plant Assets for all NWSC service Areas.

Responsibilities- Improving water plant availability through carrying out effective and efficient implementation of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) in areas of Lugazi, Jinja, Kamuli, Iganga, Masaka, Kyotera, Kalisizo, Sembabule and Entebbe.- Carrying out Corrective and Predictive Maintenance in all NWSC Service Areas to minimize down time.- Preparing technical specifications for procuring quality equipment, tools and spare parts.- Managing the electromechanical workshop including supervision of repairs of static plant equipment like pumps, motors, air scour blowers and generators.- Installing and replacing static plant assets to improve on the water and sewerage services delivery to the customers.
