I have over 15 years experience as a fibre optic and data communications engineer. I have worked in many different commercial and public environments.My fibre optic background (with various types of Multimode/Singlemode cabling) has been working on many sites such as; university campuses, schools, hospitals, data centres, local authorities and banks. Terminating ST,SC and LC type connectors into fibre optic panels,joint boxes and fibre to the desk enclosures using terminating techniques such as light crimp, hot melt, cold cure and more predominantly fusion splicing.I have experience with installing internal/external fibre optic cabling including loose tube, tight buffered, CST and SWA.My fibre testing experience includes the use of equipment such as Anritsu and Exfo OTDR's, Fluke DSP/DTX/DSX and Owl light meters.I have worked on the following wind farms - Butendiek, Sandbanks, Dudgeon, Bligh Bank, Galloper, Rentel, Arkona, Horns Rev 3, Deutche Bucht and Hornsea One for Offshore Fibre Solutions, Race Bank for JDR, Formosa one and TPC Changua for Correll Services and HKZ and Kaskasi for V&SH Offshore.I have all my own kit including a fusion splicer, OTDR and Fluke Certifiber pro. I also have a cold cure kit for direct terminations.
