The demolition and decontamination of the redundant plant was completed on an active muntions manufacturing site.• Remediation & Demolition of Former Ausgrid Depot The remediation of the former Ausgrid Depot required the demolition of the existing 3 storey building on-site, installation of structural support in the basement and piling along the Pacific Highway and adjacent Ausgrid Depot prior to excavating. The remediation aspect of the project included the on-site bioremediation of hydrocarbon impacted soil for re-use as backfill material. • Decontamination of MFB Building, ANSTODecontamination of the former Material Fabrication Bay (MFB) for ANSTO (Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation).• Decontamination and Demolition of Former Electroplating Facility, BoeingAbove ground decontamination and demolition of the former electroplating facility at Bankstown Airport, including the decontamination of 115 electroplating tanks with the main contaminants including cyanide, cadmium and chromium. The project required confined space entry, separate decontamination of cyanide and non-cyanide tanks and disposal as Restricted Solid Waste (RSW) or recycled as scrap metal. Show less
