I am in charge of various electrical projects based on industrial controls. I work with engineering in the development and implementation of control programming and hardware for process controls. The types of systems are PLC, DCS, instrumentation, MCC, VFD, and HMI.

Lorton, Virginia

I work in a EFW power plant. We burn trash, make steam to run turbine generators to make electricity, and recover metals from the ash for salvage. My duties are to work on a team responsible for CEMS, all the conveyors, motors, transmitters, controllers, and instrumentation to keep the process running. We do preventive maintenance to prevent as much unplanned downtown as possible.

I am the instrumentation and controls/Electrical dept lead.

Longmont Colorado

I was a shift technical lead. I had 10-12 equipment engineering techs and operators working under my guidance on propriety equipment used for making thin film solar panels. I was in charge of making sure all work preformed on equipment was done safely, correctly, timely, and as efficiently as possible to keep unnecessary down town to a minimum if not zero. Some of the things I worked on were vacuum chambers, conveyor lines, heater controls, heaters, power supplies, PLC's, servos, gas analyzing equipment, pressure gages and switches, and other automation equipment.

Northern Colorado

This was a contract position assisting a power plant and its maintenance team in during the start up of a new GE combustion turbine. I assisted by doing maintenance on the existing turbines (75%) and by working on the new turbine (25%). I did set-up and calibrations of transmitters for temperature, pressure, flow, and level. I worked on an upgrade project creating the program for a new plc and hmi for an old system that used relays and pushbutton. I did setup and calibratedthe controlling devices like valves, heaters, and pumps also. Some of the systems I worked on are boilers, water cooling towers, purging systems, fire suppression, and much more. The equipment varied from voltages of 24-4160 AC and DC. I also updated and redlined blueprints and drawings.

Greater Denver Area

I ran multiple government jobs through out the denver metro area. I ran up to 6 jobs at a time with as many as 30 foreman/journeyman/apprentice working under me.

Greater Denver Area/Northern Colorado

I worked in industrial plants(Pharmaceutical, water treatment, refineries) installing new and upgrading control systems and devices.
