My Vic Story uses machine learning to create a beautiful, hyper-personalised timeline of Victoria's History, using archival photography and historical documents in the State Library's digitised collection to build you a history of Victoria, as seen through the eyes of your family.From the Pub your great-grandfather may have spent the afternoon in to the street your Mum grew up in to the reactions of your neighbours when your parents immigrated in the 1960s, no-one will have a My Vic Story exactly the same as yours.

Working in the most hotly contested seat of the Victorian State Election, I was a GetUp Field Organiser for the "Vote Clean" campaign at the Victorian State Election.In just 6 short months, we've:* Taken hundreds of online activists in to the offline campaigning space for the first time* Empowered incredible GetUp members with the skills to be 21st century community organisers* Knocked more than 5,000 doors in Prahran and surrounds* Spoken to more than 1,000 undecided voters* Tested, implemented and loved tonnes of new 21st century organising technology* Achieved the strongest swing towards the environment of any seat anywhere in Victoria

At ACF I did our first in house predictive analytics work on Donor retention. I instrumented our sites, did weekly, monthly and long term analytics reporting and analysis.Working with the Fundraising team and Online Co-Ordinator, we doubled our online donation rate, halved form abandonment and quintupled new low-amount donations.Working with our Fundraising manager, I proposed, designed, implemented and ran our first large-scale Facebook advertising campaign for regular donors, that let us find and nurture new donors at 1/4 the price of traditional face-to-face, with better donor retention.For Election 2013 I worked with our Communications and Engagement team to write, message test and manage ACF's largest ever online advertising campaign, reaching 50,000 undecided voters in the weeks before the election using sophisticated targeting across Google Adwords, On-Site retargeting and Facebook Interest group targeting.Lastly, I think I really helped move ACF towards a data driven, metrics informed, rigorously scientific and self-reflective online campaigning culture. After a lot of prototyping, feedback and tweaking we built dashboards that were used by the Engagement team on a daily basis. I wrote short, actionable weekly analytics insights and helped us move with search and inbound traffic trends, and understand which of our content was resonating and which wasn't. I commissioned and sometimes wrote content that was topical, link-baity and in the search / inbound traffic zeitgeist.It was a blast.
