Leading multiple projects in parallel across various Rio Tinto Assets from the Ideas / Order of Magnitude phases through to the Feasibility / Execute / Handover to Operations phases.Responsibilities• Delivering projects for the business ahead of schedule, within budget and as per our approved scope by leading project teams to produce and implement project execution plans (project controls, contracts & procurement strategies, risk and safety management). This also includes developing Plant (Asset) and Business Investment Committee reports and collaboration with Local Council, Indigenous groups and the Chamber of Commerce.Projects Lead within the Program include:-• Dynamic Constraint Utilisation. Global rollout of new utilisation software logic across various Rio Tinto process (mining, refinery, iron ore, smelting and diamonds) sites. By utilising site process variable data to calculate and analyse through our global PI database, we were able to optimise production at pilot and new sites to deliver on average a 20-25% uplift for the business. (A$8m).• Weipa Industrial Land Development. 65Ha development of mining lease land conversion to industrial lots (50) for the community. This includes negotiating the Freehold & DA processes with council and government as well as working with multiple consultants to conduct surveying, detailed design & construction works (demand to infrastructure, roads, power, water, sewage, comm’s, and drains). (A$30m).• Amrun Warehouse. Design & Construct a new 6000m2 warehouse for the Amrun Asset. This brownfield project incorporated working with engineering and construction consultants to complete detailed design and complex construction methodologies due to remoteness.(A$6m).• Evans Landing & Rocky Point Camp Upgrades. This includes determining requirements and evaluating options with the business (internal) and consultants (external) to design and deliver these upgrades (A$15m) .
