Having now been with Rittal for over 20 years I felt a profile update was long overdue. I have been here for so long now that I barely remember a life that did not involve server racks, cooling solutions and Data Centres.Just for the record though I was not always a Corporate Account Manager, this only happened about 2 years ago. so here's a potted history to give you a look at my background:1994 - I used to come in and help one of my friends unload containers etc with this local company called Rittal.March 1995, started with Rittal as a store man.June 1996, progressed to assisting with engineering.Aug 1998, went upstairs and started working in internal sales/customer service.Jan 2000, moved onto IT customer support. This included all my usual duties but with a focus on our IT products and customers and supporting the IT sales manager with his requests.Aug 2004, became the divisional supervisor and continued with my support of the IT side of the business and the IT sales manager.Sep 2005, our IT sales manager decided to move on and I decided to throw myself into the deep end and apply for the post, which then happened and hey presto, I was the new IT sales manager for Scotland and NI. My main duties were to promote Rittals IT solutions and the new technologies that we continued to develop. This would ultimately increase our market share and the best way to achieve this is to know your products, your customers and a lot of shoe leather !!!Jan 2013, Promoted to IT Corporate Account Manager, this was in recognition of some substantial growth and a job well done. My duties are pretty much as they were before but with the knowledge that I could professionally manage the larger projects.And that takes us to the present time were I am still knocking on doors and introducing myself and my company to those who may have a need for a reliable and efficient IT solution for there Data Centre.My particular strengths are racks, cooling and energy efficiency.
