Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the effective delivery of community projects in Cumbernauld and Glasgow, in line with the Community Investment Strategy themes and local community priorities- Promote funding opportunities and other support which Sanctuary can provide to communities- Support the development of increased capacity in individuals and groups within communities in Cumbernauld and Glasgow, with particular emphasis on the principles of community organising, supporting residents to deliver the changes they want to see in their neighbourhoods- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, including key stakeholders in Cumbernauld and Glasgow, and media contacts- Respond effectively and professionally to queries and service requests relating to the Group’s community investment activities and funding opportunities, dealing with day to day queries from external and internal stakeholders in a proactive manner and providing excellent customer service at all times- Utilise current research processes and resources to enable the compilation of effective reports which allow a better understanding of neighbourhoods in Cumbernauld and Glasgow- Provide timely communications to internal and external stakeholders, including reports and updates on community projects and funding applications to subsidiary boards -

Natural Networks CoordinatorThe Conservation Volunteers Sep 2014 - Apr 2015ScotlandCoordination of TCV's Natural Networks - a new training programme which will focus on increasing the biodiversity of local greenspaces to play a role within ecological networks. Natural Networks will use the innovative approach pioneered by the Natural Communities programme to support communities to understand, value and protect their local greenspaces and develop them as a valuable part of local and national 'green' networks.Beginning in January 2015, Natural Networks will provide 32 year long workbased Training Placements in locations across the UK. During each 12 month training placement, trainees will develop skills in: - The development of green networks- Surveying, managing and improving local greenspace- Engaging and supporting local communities to contribute in developing and sustaining green networks through understanding and protecting local green places -

"Since 2011 our Natural Communities programme in Scotland and Northern Ireland has developed, applied and learned from an innovative participatory approach to community environmental engagement. The programme was initiated in response to a need across the UK to increase skills in engaging communities with the environment and has been supported by Scottish Natural Heritage and through the Heritage Lottery Fund’s ‘Skills for the Future’ programme.
