I was employed by We Brand It, Maidenhead to increase their eCommerce presence. I created a brand called Buy From Benny (Benny was our beautiful office dog) - Buy From Benny started from scratch with just myself at a desk in the corner of We Brand It's main office. We traded low priced, high volume products on eBay, Amazon and eventually our Magento store buyfrombenny.com.At the end of our first year we had turned over £800k. We quickly surpassed the £1m mark and in our second year we had achieved £1.6m in turnover. I was initially brought in due to my eCommerce knowledge. As we grew however, I needed staff, so needed to be a manager, we needed automation, so I needed to oversee that, we wanted more suppliers so I became involved in procurement - l essentially oversaw the whole operation; Recruiting, managing and training a team of 10, maintaining and growing sales, bringing on new suppliers, developing automation and much more.In my opinion, Buy from Benny was a great success within just 2 years. I am sure this will continue but we are now on different paths.

I met people from all walks of life and helped them to build a trip which is perfect for them personally. I would help with everything from ideas and planning to booking. This ranges from flight routes and tours to injections and visas. STA Travel offer a comprehensive package for the client. I was consistently the top seller at the Reading store and top 5% within the UK. In my final year i brought in £145k in profit for the company.

As gym manager my role was to service it’s 3000 members who used the gym, I also had to manage three teams consisting of 22 staff; Gym Instructors, Personal Trainers, and Group Fitness Instructors. My roles included devising a daily action plan and the proceeding delegation of it. This involved One-to-one management of staff, Recruitment, Disciplinary’s, Payroll, Invoicing, and working with other companies to deal with maintenance issues. The job was very full on and challenging which gave me a sense of achievement knowing that what I did directly impacted upon 3000 members and 22 staff.
