For the past 8 years I have been a union representative at SEIU Local 721 in Los Angeles County. Here I recruit and mentor member leaders, coordinate work actions, review and maintain Departmental employment policies and negotiate contracts. I also work as a consultant for labor unions and those in or seeking elected office. I have been involved in the labor movement and political/community organizing for 25 years. I also have an extensive background in public education and was a professional educator for over 15 years. I particularly enjoy working with at-risk youth and adults.
