As Events & Business Manager for this NHS Trust, I take full responsibility for the development and delivery of the Trust’s Protected Learning Time and educational events for GPs, primary care nursing and specialist teams. I take a lead role in providing the Trust and partner oganisations with advice, support and information on the management, planning, marketing and delivery of educational events and exhibitions while undertaking ad-hoc project work and managing relationships both internally and externally. This includes:• Generating income to supplement the budget through the marketing and sale of exhibition space to the pharmaceutical industry• Managing an allocated budget, to ensure that event expenditure remains within the financial resources available • Proactively managing and developing new business relationships including negotiating with suppliers and venues• Linking with multi-disciplinary teams across the region• Taking responsibility for staff, multiple concurrent events and ensuring that all deadlines are adhered to.
