I'm a twenty four year old first generation immigrant from a small village in Nigeria called Nanka. My family came to America when I was just a couple years old, and I've been living here with my parents and three siblings ever since. I live a pretty active life, with most of my hobbies being centered around sports. However, when I'm not on the court or the field, I'm usually behind a computer screen. I love technology and all the avenues it opens for society. Pursuing a degree in Computer science has only brought me closer to the thing that I love. From designing websites to making simple games, learning to program has exponentially expanded the utility of computers for me. Due to a perpetually changing technological landscape, the ability to code is becoming increasingly valuable in the corporate world. These skills are especially valuable to me, as I hope to work as a video game developer or animator in the future. I’m resourceful, analytical, creative, and scrupulous. I have a strong work ethic, but I know when to work and when to play. I’m a creative thinker capable of adapting to high pressure situations. Being very artistically inclined, I enjoy drawing and painting. Using my skills as a coder to make some of my artwork come to life in a video game or on the big screen is a dream of mine. It’s the goal that I strive for, and I’m confident that I’ll achieve it through hard work and perseverance.
