Led Transmission SCADA Replacement Program (TSRP) project within the EMS group, improved tracking methods for modeling, and addressed technical and scheduling issues. Coordinated EMS modeling requirements with Grid Operations to support the reliable and safe operations of PG&E’s electric grid.

Responsible for managing the PG&E power grid by using SCADA and Remote Terminal Units (RTU) devices to provide control and visibility of PG&E transmission substations and distribution substations to the system operators in northern California.

•Provided visibility and control using SCADA and RTUs for the transmission, distribution, generation operators, and energy accountants. Actively involved in testing and integrating a new SCADA system, Spectrum Power 7 system. •Performed Factory Acceptance Testing, and Site Acceptance Testing, ongoing troubleshooting and resolving system problems to maintain system reliability. Developed internal test procedures to support staffs in their role. Worked on-call to provide technical support to operators, technicians, and other entities. •Preformed several regression testing’s on data acknowledgment, alarm processing, displays etc., on both development and quality assurance systems. •Principle designer of the Power Experience Entry-level Rotational (PEER) program. Lead the most complex rotation program in the organization: planned, coordinated, strategized, implemented, and supervised two years rotational program for entry-level Electrical Engineers.•Project managed capital projects on both software and hardware projects. Coordinated with the SMEs and the stakeholders to ensure the project scope, budget, and schedule were met accurately and precisely. •Programmed, troubleshooted, purchased and maintained Remote Terminal Units (RTU) for distribution, transmission, and generation substations. Programmed and troubleshooted the routers connected to these RTUs. •Captured, tracked and documented NERC weekly Standards (Projects and Orders) for FERC Standards under development for Order 693, and NERC CIP. Met with SME’s across Electric Operations, to discuss compliance concerns, and work on self-certifications. Coordinated with Reliability Coordination and Compliance (RC&C) to give response on NERC’s comments or ballots on identified compliance deadlines.
