I focus on strategic planning, governance, Corp Finance (ROI & ROIC), capital & non-dilutive funding, revenue generation, marketing, business development, strategic alliances, program management, product qualification, manufacturing/scale-up, & team development.

JRD is an incubator. Technology revolutions are seeded & spun out to be independent once concepts show promise. The heat-to-electricity converter, JTEC, was spun-out to JTEC Energy Inc. The ceramic, solid-state battery (2 to 4 times the potential of Li ion) & the lithium-air battery (10x the potential of Li ion) are due to spin-out to Johnson Energy Storage, Inc. JRD is now incubating an Ambient Energy Converter and also an ambient water generator (& is also the home of the SuperSoaker(TM) water toy).

Excellatron is focused on the development of advanced battery technologies (thin film batteries, solid electrolyte batteries, & lithium-air batteries). Its present focus is a lithium-air battery technology that offers the potential for performance that is 10x better than conventional batteries. It has promising possibilities for electric cars to drive further distances on a single charge. The technology may also possibly act as an enabler for other similar modes of transportation (eg electric airplanes, and electric boats).

Responsible for all aspects of commercial aviation support business including profit & loss, M&A, strategic planning, business re-engineering, risk management, revenue generation, business development/marketing, design support, engineering, development, qualification, manufacturing, & repair/maintenance management for a variety of electronic, electro-optical, electromechanical, & electromagnetic equipment for airplane & helicopter systems, ground vehicles (tanks, automobiles, etc), ships/boats, etc. Contract values range $100,000 to $50,000,000.
