• Responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, and monitoring of network infrastructure to ensure proper functionality and maximum uptime in an enterprise multi-site environment.• Provide technical support for company metropolitan network by helping design, build and maintaining the network. • Create / update and publish network diagrams and configurations in a manner that can be easily understood by all network users.• Add and configure network devices and servers in the network monitoring systems, acknowledge alerts and calculate uptime• Track all work performed including user assisted, problem encountered, resolution, time spent, and resources used by accurately entering and closing tickets in the helpdesk system• Ensure maximum network / server / telephony uptime by maintaining monitoring solutions for IT infrastructure• Keep network monitoring system up to date by compiling MIBs and performing SNMP monitoring of network devices.• Make recommendations to best practices, standard operating procedures and new infrastructure deployment.• Accurately maintain the inventory of all switches and routers, as well as warranty information, support agreements, modification history, software installed, and physical location.• Ensure all network resources are available and accessible by properly authorized personnel at all times • Provide accurate time and resource requirements for assigned tasks and meet deadlines.• Foster effective, continuous communication and expedient problem resolution by interacting in a positive, professional manner with all departments, employees at all levels and external contacts
