Hi! I’m Anthony Pearce! I am currently Bookkeeper at Kelly W. Pearce Professional Corporation CA/ CPA. I am also a student at the University of Alberta! Work Experience:My role is to organize the financial transactions of individuals and businesses through excel. I am also concurrently being trained in CaseWare, an accounting software program used by many in the industry. Additionally, I had a job in payroll prior. Academics:I am a 2nd year Accounting student in the Alberta School of Business. Before entering the University of Alberta, I was a student at The Center for Learning at Home (CFL). I learned valuable skills like self-motivation in this environment as I did not have the external motivation that comes along with an in-person environment. I thrived in this environment and I was able to attain the Gold Standard Academic Entrance Scholarship into the University of Alberta, awarded to the top 5% of applicants in each faculty.Academic Scholarships received from the U of A:- The Gold Standard Academic Scholarship:Awarded to the top 5% of applicants to each faculty at the University. (Received in High-school, admission average of 96%)- William Norman Grace Memorial Scholarship:Awarded to students on the basis of superior academic achievement who is entering their first year into the School of Business. (Received after first year, GPA of 3.93)Interests:-I love the realm of finance and investing and have done so since I was young. I believe my major as an accounting student will complement this interest very well.- I also love space exploration and I follow various company’s that are in the industry (publicly traded and private).- I enjoy the sport of powerlifting and hope to compete one day in the sport! I am a member of the University of Alberta powerlifting association (UAPA) which allows me to further this passion!
