Senior Cloud Computing Engineer
CurrentAssist the government in delivering technical services including infrastructure management, network normalization, identity and access management, enterprise services, storage services, secure file transfer services, virtual machine services, database hosting services, web hosting services, development and test environment hosting services and data management services including archiving and regular backups.• Deploy, configure, secure, and monitor various AWS resources using Terraform and Ansible config management.• Employ innovative thought and automation to improve workflow, efficiency, productivity, and technology deployment.• Collaborate with customer services, professional services, project/program/product managers, and engineers to ensure that critical and time-sensitive projects run smoothly to achieve business outcomes.• Create, update, and maintain documentation for systems, processes, procedures, and infrastructure configuration.• Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions on-premises and in the cloud (AWS).• Develop and maintain automated deployment processes using Kubernetes and Docker to ensure efficient and consistent deployment of software applications.• Collaborate with development teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and streamline the software release process.• Monitor and optimize system performance, including resource utilization, capacity planning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and scalability.• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure-related issues and implement proactive solutions.• Collaborate with the customer support team to understand client requirements and provide timely and effective solutions.• Proactively identify areas for process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency in AWS GovCloud.• Foster a customer-centric mindset and maintain excellent customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and support.
