I am the people leader of a team which provides Governance, Design, Build and Run functions for Unix and Storage Infrastructure, and delivery across the end-to-end IT Service Management chain for the Institutional Banking Division of the group.I am accountable for the timely delivery of technology design, leveraging strategic technology and services, and the cost effective implementation of new infrastructure solutions to meet customer and business demand. The service transition and ongoing operational support of these solutions to agreed SLA’s, as well as accountability for system integrity is also my responsibility.Noteworthy is my strength in managing people, infrastructure and IT operations at a technical level, with a clear track record of taking ownership, embracing responsibility, and maintaining a customer oriented focus on delivery.I am somebody who can effectively advocate and drive change, while managing risk. I bring qualities of integrity, determination and achievement to the organisation.

My role was a senior member of a team responsible for the design and implementation of infrastructure projects based around Enterprise class servers. I was also responsible for the operational support of Solaris, HPUX, AIX, and Linux environments for large out-sourcing clients in the banking and state government sectors. These servers provided Oracle database, application and web tiers for both mission-critical internal systems and public facing external systems.I designed and implemented projects which included the transition of several existing large scale database and application environments from obsolete platforms to new hosts. I have also been responsible for the deployment of public-facing web portal environments, in conjunction with backend databases. I have planned and implemented multi-site disaster recovery solutions. I have worked with vendors to design High Availability solutions. I have worked within, and have an in-depth understanding of, an ITIL standard Change Management framework, and I have consistently produced technical documentation of a high standard.
