I am a Member at Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip, PLLC. I devote the majority of my practice to civil litigation. I have significant trial experience and have obtained verdicts of no cause for action on behalf of my clients in both Federal and State Courts. The primary focus of my litigation practice is defending health care professionals, corporations, and hospital systems in complex medical malpractice and birth trauma litigation. I also have extensive experience in defending county jail and state prison health care professionals in civil rights litigation brought in Federal Court pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983.In addition to defending health care professionals, my practice also includes commercial litigation, as well as defending auto negligence claims under Michigan’s No-Fault Insurance Act and other personal injury claims. Through my extensive litigation experience, I have also developed expertise in various aspects of health care law, as well as significant experience in appellate work in both State and Federal Courts of Appeals.I am licensed to practice law in the states of Michigan and Indiana. I am also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the US District Courts in Michigan and Indiana. I am also a member of the negligence and health law sections of the State Bar of Michigan.
