I am an Able Seamen with experience in the Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary and Merchant Navy and have served onboard as a deck seaman, sea survival equipment maintainer, and Medical Technician with specialist skills as a Diver Medic. have experience of serving on Dredgers, Tankers, Ro/Ro passenger ships, passenger excursion vessels, research ships, Stores/replenishment ships, aviation support vessels, cargo ships, naval auxiliaries, motor fishing vessels, sailing yachts, and work on various types of work boats and RHIB patrol/rescue craft. In addition I have served as a Coastguard Rescue Officer with HM Coastguard and as a Patrolman/Patrol/Safety boat cox'n with the Foreshore department of Arun District Council. Most recently I have completed online courses in basic Marine science . In the last 12 years I have volunteered as a uniformed adult instructor with the Sea Cadet corps teaching intermediate seamanship instructor, unit sea safety equipment maintainer and log recorder, and safety boat cox'n. I have also been a qualified BSAC/PADI Scuba diver since 1988.
