Zenith Logistics LLC General Manager role is a highly complex operation that requires a leader who has experience in a quality/safety-focused, high-volume manufacturing environment along with advanced people leadership skills. A strong engineering or operations mindset is required to address the complexity, including labor planning, inbound operation, space management, equipment maintenance and reliability, outbound operation, yard management, transportation and logistics, automation, safety, quality, Associate engagement, productivity, and peak planning and execution. A General Manager will oversee the operation that focuses on the delivery of customers’ orders as promised by doing the following: • Support my team of Shift Managers on the daily management of the delivery station, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliers, including agency management representatives and their drivers.• Responsible for thinking analytically about project management with attention to detail, with the ability to influence others.• Responsible for finding practical and simple solutions to complex problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality.• I will utilize exceptional problem-solving, and communication skills to influence business and technical audiences.• I will provide day-to-day support during the rollout/implementation of newer systems/processes and gather feedback.• I will continuously utilize software and hardware tools to ensure normal day-to-day operations. Ensure associates have the proper PPE to perform the job and coordinate repair or replacement when needed.• I will be the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion champion; designing different projects, activities, and roundtable talks to ensure diverse perspectives are enriched by all, including race, ethnicity, gender, age, physical and mental ability, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, culture, language, and education.
