The role involved designing, developing and deploying software changes to the payment system used within thousands of Job Centres across the UK. The role required close communication with the project management, development, test, and support teams due to involvement with the entire lifecycle of the product development. Client: HBOS TreasuryProvided technical consultancy in the security domain for WebSphere MQ. The role involved providing documentation and advice on securing a WebSphere MQ installation for a payments system within HBOS Treasury. The areas encompassed within the scope of the role were:- channel security between clients (application clients) and server components using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocols, WebSphere MQ object access utilising the functionality provided through the OAM (object authority manager), and operating system security utilising the operating system functionality to restrict access to users and groups. Client: O2 Companion ProjectWorked as part of the Development and Support Team on a large telecommunications project utilising the latest WebSphere MQ applications. The role involved taking responsibility as lead WebSphere MQ Workflow developer, later maintaining the system as lead WebSphere MQ Workflow support. Lessons learned were re-designed back into the system and the role moved back to being lead developer. The system integrates an entire mobile telephony order fulfilment, provisioning and billing architecture based upon an AIX WebSphere infrastructure.Client: CrestCo Ltd Designed, developed and implemented a WebSphere MQ security channel exit. The solution provided Web based access to a payments investigation system accessible throughout Europe with technical centralisation in the UK.• Designed, developed and implemented a WebSphere MQ interface using the MQI API and the C++ programming language. This interface is being used to send and receive financial payments between financial institutions globally. • Designed, developed and implemented a Sybase RPC interface between the PegaSystems rules engine and a database used to store financial statement information.• Designed, developed and implemented an Oracle API interface between the PegaSystems rules engine and a database storing customer information.• Implementation of the core PegaSystems Rules Engine for the majority of PegaSystems customer base.
