About Anthony Power

With over 20 years of global experience in hospitality, operations and brand development, I create extraordinary experiences through service excellence. I have a passion for storytelling and social impact, and a track record of delivering innovative and successful projects, events, and concepts across multiple continents and sectors.I played an integral role in shaping the brand and culture of the Movember Foundation, the world's largest men's health organisation, where I continue to serve as an Ambassador and as an Independent Member in a governance advisory role. I have also co-founded and launched award-winning restaurants, magazines, and cookbooks, and managed some of Melbourne's most iconic hospitality venues. After four years in Australia, I have returned to London and I am looking for new challenges and opportunities to apply my skills and expertise in hospitality, marketing, creative direction and operations management.

  • Pilgrim Restaurant
    Co-Founder & Operations Director
    Pilgrim Restaurant Aug 2017 - Oct 2020
    Liverpool, England, United Kingdom
Pilgrim is a Spanish dining experience that draws inspiration from the routes of the ancient pilgrimage across Spain called The Camino De Santiago. With multiple starting points across Spain, Portugal and France, The Camino routes meander across the country and culminate at the tomb of Saint James at Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Western Spain. The menus at Pilgrim follow a specific route of the Camino, showcasing the unique regional dishes, produce and flavours found along the way.I took Pilgrim from a series of sold-out pop-up dinner events in London to appearing on and winning the hit Netflix programme ‘The Million Pound Menu', securing significant financial investment to open the first bricks and mortar site. Pilgrim received numerous reviews, including major features in The Sunday Times, The Observer Food Monthly and The Guardian Newspapers. Pilgrim was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand by The Michelin Guide 2020 & 2021.Sadly, I returned home to Melbourne in March 2020 to visit family, and friends and host a series of events, only for Covid to hit and grind the world to a halt. 6 months into Melbourne lockdown I made the hard yet necessary decision to step away from Pilgrim and stay in Melbourne. Pilgrim is now closed permanently.
