Internationally recognized expert, advisor, and consultant in Earth observation for weather, water, and climate, specializing in international data exchange, processing, utilization, and policy. From 2019 to 2023, I served as the Director of the Infrastructure Department at the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), where I led global coordination of observations, data exchange, and modeling across weather, climate, water, oceans, and the cryosphere.During my tenure, I successfully guided the approval of the WMO Unified Data Policy, established the Global Basic Observing Network (GBON), and launched the Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF). I also oversaw the delivery of the 2022 Implementation Plan for the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS).I hold a PhD in Satellite Meteorology from RMIT University and a Master's in Public Administration from the Australia and New Zealand School of Government. Prior to my role at WMO, I held various positions within the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, including National Manager of the Observations Program and Chief Data Officer, where I was responsible for government relations and communications.
