Main responsibilities are the provision of safety data to the Safety Team and other business functions. Specific responsibilities for the preparation and process which ensure all accidents, incidents, close calls, assaults, claims, operational incidents, train faults, signal irregularities, trespass, concern for welfare, graffiti and other security incidents are-fully investigated with the use of CCTV and properly concluded in accordance with Railway Group Standards and current safety legislation.The reporting of safety performance information in SMIS (Safety Management Intelligence System) and the preparation and distribution of periodic safety reports including trend analysis data.To liaise with the functions at all organisational levels in order to determine the consistency and quality of safety reporting processes and identify measures of improving reporting activity.

All stations had to meet customer’s needs by ensuring they were clean, safe and had a welcoming environment. In addition the Station Assistant can often be the first and last person our customers see therefore it was imperative that Station Standards are adhered to at all times. Ensuring customers receive concise and clear information delivered in a consistently professional manner . Accountable for ensuring own knowledge and competencies are up to date and relevant. Having the confidence and ability to enable any situation to be dealt with professionally and competently.Dealing with emergency, unpredictable and reactive situations in accordance with company procedures and Travel Safe guidance. Demonstrating competency and displaying a knowledgeable persona. Ensuring the station is maintained to a high standard and taking responsibility for reporting any faults in a timely manner. Responsible for the management of the ATG gate lines and ensuring the safety of our customers at all times. Effectively dealing with and assisting in any emergency situations that may arise or security issues that affect the station environment.
