The HPX3 project is part of BMA’s $2.5B expansion of the Hay Point Coal Port. The project involved construction of a new 2km trestle, berth, transfer towers and installation of a new shiploader.- Responsible for technical and quality components for the installation of deck modules for Berth 3 of the BMA HPX3 project. The deck modules range in size up to 125t.- I was responsible for the Berth 3 Static Pile Tests. This involved procurement of materials, organisation and setup of test equipment, support crew and test consultants. Interface with designers (Aurecon Hatch) on design issues and ultimately achieving a solution that is beneficial to the project.- Review of designs and procurement of temporary works used in the construction of the berth.Procurement of permanent and temporary materials and delivery to site in a timely as required by the schedule.- Responsible for the development of Construction Execution Plans for numerous facets of the construction process.- Responsible for the creation of Lift Plans for numerous cranes throughout the project including crawler, hydraulic and tower cranes.- Demobilisation of wharf cranesUse of Bechtel material ordering and Project Technical Request Systems.

Dampier, Western Australia

The Pioneer Material Offload Facility (PMOF) project was undertaken as a subcontractor to Boskalis as part of the Chevron Gorgon Project on Barrow Island. The project involved construction of a new Ro-Ro berth, barge berth and module carrier berth.- I was Logistics Coordinator for the barge loading facility in Dampier for the Murray & Roberts PMOF project. I was the company representative in Dampier, liaising with the client (Chevron), EPCM (KJV), Dampier Port Authority and other stakeholders at the Port.- Responsible for liaising with Project Management and engineers for site material requirements and the Marine Superintendent and for barge and tug boat movements. - Managing up to 30 people onsite including labour hire and subcontractors. This included HSE/HR coverage, writing incident reports, running daily prestart meetings, purchasing materials and equipment for site.- Responsible for ensuring quarantine compliance of the site and loading of barges in accordance with project requirements.

Victoria & Western Australia

Ord Irrigation Expansion Project (Phase 1) – Kununurra, WA July 10 – Jan 11Phase one included the construction of 19km of irrigation channel, a 14km road extension and irrigation control structures for Land Corp. I was the earthworks engineer for construction of a 5km length of irrigation channel.Construction involved crew of 623 scrapers, laser buckets, moxy’s, dozers, excavators, compactors, rollers and water carts.Supervision of crew when project short on supervisors. This included sub-contractors and Leighton’s staff. Instrumental in setting up daily production and cost tracking spreadsheet.Forecasting of costs.Quality assurance and testing of materials.Responsible for safety aspects of two soil testing contractors. RGP5 - Port Hedland Oct 09 – June 10The RGP5 project was a 50/50 joint venture to duplicate 220km of heavy haul rail line between Port Hedland and Shaw Siding.I was Site Engineer for the installation of almost 200 culverts of various sizes up to 3.5m in diameter. Forecasting of quantities.Ordering of materials and supervising culvert suppliers during rolling of pipe.Prestarts and supervision of crew whilst both supervisors on leave.Sunshine Hospital Upgrade - Melbourne Aug 09 – Sept 09Preparation of tender packages upgrade.Issuing contractsDeer Park Bypass - Melbourne July 08 – Aug 09Responsible for stormwater and subsoil drainage installation, earthworks, Traffic Management plans, ramp metering and Freeway Data Systems for road construction project.Supervision of subcontractors.Preparation of forecasts and progress reports Organising timely supply of materials.Quality assurance
