Maintaining statistical information to enable performance monitoring and review.Assisting with the development and delivery of projects and initiatives to address community safety issues.Conversant with relevant legislation and developments in the law, in particular but not limited to, the Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978, the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003, the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005, the ASB, Crime and Policing Act 2014, and the Unauthorised Deposit of Waste (fixed penalties) Regulations 2016. Co-ordinated the Town Centre Action Plan for Community Safety and Security Services using a range of multi-agency preventative and enforcement measures to seek solutions, reduce anti-social behaviour and stabilise communities. Engaged with and developed links with residents, other agencies, businesses and supported any Town Centre Initiatives.As part of the action plan, carried out uniformed patrols to provide reassurance and take enforcement action where necessary including case work, investigation and court action.Carried out crime prevention work including giving advice, site surveys, and visual audits, producing reports and making recommendations on crime prevention measures. Ran a crime prevention initiate called the 'Safe Business Scheme' that provided equipment and advice for small businesses and start ups that did not have a budget for crime prevention but were victims of crime and/ or ASB or there was a perceived risk of crime and/ or ASB. Plan, prepare and deliver an annual programme of crime prevention initiatives for both local businesses and visitors to increase awareness, provide reassurance and promote feelings of safety.
