My name is Anthony Rutherford, and I am a junior majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics at The University of Alabama. My classes have helped me to develop a deep understanding of data structures, databases, and operating systems as well as languages that support these systems like C, C++, Python, Java, and SQL. My success in these classes has consistently placed me on the President’s and Dean’s list. I am currently working on a few different projects to help me develop in areas I have not yet had many classes on including a couple machine learning models as well as some AI based applications that look to implement rather than develop the AI. I hope to become a software engineer with a focus on machine learning, as I love engaging in difficult problems and the process involved in solving them. I aspire to follow this path and eventually become and AI or machine learning developer as continue to grow in my career.
